To receive login codes via the tiqr app, you’ll need to connect your phone to your UvA or AUAS account. This is a one-time-only process, prior to logging in for the first time, and is described in the flyer below.
Please note: students cannot make use of UvA/AUAS figshare.
After having received a one-time-only activation code, you visit either a Service Desk at a UvA Library or AUAS campus to have your phone activated for two factor authentication or you follow the online procedure described below.
You will be asked to present identification (passport, driver’s license), so the Service Desk can establish your identity. Please note: the activation code expires after 14 days.
Service Desk personnel can also help you if you should encounter any issues in activating your phone.
Follow, before you log in for the first time, the steps to connect your phone to your UvAnetID or HvAID (see above: First time users). To log in:
Please note: students cannot make use of UvA/AUAS figshare.
If your phone number changes, you first remove your old phone number from the SURFconext registration. To do so, you visit the SURFconext website. Choose your university and log in with your UvAnetID or HvAID. You’ll see which phone number is registered for you and are able to remove that number. Then you follow the registration procedure for your new number.
The login process takes place within SURFconext. Your phone number will not be shared with figshare.
Your access to UvA/AUAS figshare is connected to your employment at UvA or AUAS: it will end 90 days after your employment at UvA or AUAS ends (just like, for example, access to your UvA or AUAS email account). From that date on, your account in UvA/AUAS figshare will be managed by the data steward of your faculty or research institute.
